Before you take a measurement
-Avoid strenuous activity, eating, or smoking immediately before the measurement.
-Sit in a chair with your back supported and relax for 5 minutes.
-Always measure on the same arm (usually the left).
-Always make sure that the correct cuff size is used (marking on the cuff).
-Remove tight clothing from the upper arm. To avoid constriction, clothing sleeves should not be rolled up, gathered or folded - they should not interfere with the cuff if they are stretched out.
-Place the cuff snugly, but not too tight.
1. Press the ON/OFF button 1 to start the measurement.
2. The cuff will automatically inflate. Relax, do not move or strain your arm muscles until the measurement result is displayed.Breathe normally and don't talk.
3. The AP cuff fit check on the screen indicates that the cuff is perfectly fitted. If the AP-A icon appears, the cuff is not optimally fitted, but it is still OK to measure.
4. When the correct pressure is reached, pumping stops and
the pressure gradually drops. If the required pressure has not been reached, the device will automatically pump a little more air into the cuff.
5. During the measurement, the BL pulse indicator lights up on the display.
6. The result, which includes the systolic blood pressure AL and diastolic blood pressure AM and the pulse rate AN, is displayed. Please also note the explanations of the further display symbols in this booklet.
7. When the device has finished measuring, remove the cuff.
8. Turn off the device. (The monitor turns off automatically after approximately 1 minute.)
