Espumisan is a gastrointestinal drug that acts as an anti-gas agent and is therefore used as an aid in diagnostic examinations. Uses: – For the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal complaints associated with increased gas formation, such as flatulence or meteorism (bloating of the abdomen from gases and excessive expulsion of them) and abdominal colic in infants (abdominal pain in the third month); – For the preparation of patients who will undergo X-ray (radiographic), sonographic (Echo) or gastroscopic examinations in the abdominal region (abdominal organs); – As an anti-gas agent in cases of poisoning with detergents. Do not use Espumisan®: – If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to simethicone or any of the other ingredients of the product. Pregnancy and breastfeeding There are no restrictions on the use of Espumisan® during pregnancy and breastfeeding. So far, no adverse effects have been observed related to the use of Espumisan®.
